HEPPP Evaluation Manager - Swinburne University of Technology

Located within the Education and Quality Services (EQS) Portfolio and reporting to the Manager, Evaluation and Analytics, the HEPPP Evaluation Manager contributes to the advancement of social impact at Swinburne by supporting the reporting on and evaluation of Higher Education Participation and Partnerships Program (HEPPP) funded initiatives being implemented across the University. The incumbent is responsible for implementing the HEPPP evaluation and reporting framework and enabling the delivery of program evaluations across all HEPPP initiatives.

This position will work closely with the Director, Student Engagement, the Manager of Student Equity and HEPPP project managers to ensure the successful delivery of program objectives. This position will focus on building the evaluation capability of project managers as well as developing evaluation processes and tools so that HEPPP funded initiatives are being robustly evaluated and high-quality insights provided to key stakeholders, governance committees and the Australian government.


About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Evidenced research and analytical skills preferably with a background in statistics, mathematics or economics and the implementation of evaluation frameworks based on Theory of Change/Program Logic Models.
  • Strong technical skills including programming skills, business intelligence software skills, and statistical software skills.
  • A thorough understanding of data collection, processing, modelling, analysis and communication as they relate to program effectiveness, operational efficiency, and quality in higher education.
  • Proven ability to extract and analyse data from complex and diverse data sets and systems and to utilise business analysis tools to develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, dashboards and performance metrics.
  • High-level of strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain excellent relationships with a diverse range of professional and academic stakeholders.



Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications; or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
